About this position

About the Role

As an IT Audit Manager, you will take full ownership of IT External Audit engagements, leading delivery from planning through to reporting. You will be accountable for quality, risk coverage, stakeholder management, financial performance, and team leadership across multiple concurrent engagements.

This role requires deep technical expertise across ITGC, ITAC, IPE, ERP platforms, cybersecurity governance, and regulatory frameworks including SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, GDPR and FRC expectations. You will not only review work, you will challenge assumptions, refine risk assessments, influence client leadership, and shape the direction of engagements.

You will also be responsible for the oversight of a team of circa 12-14 individuals. You are expected to operate at a strong level: driving delivery excellence, strengthening methodology, and developing future leaders within the practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced IT Audit leader with deep expertise in Financial Services and Industry IT environments and a proven track record of managing complex External Audit engagements. You will bring strong technical authority across ITGC, ITAC and IPE testing, combined with the ability to challenge risk assessments, manage multiple engagements, and influence senior stakeholders.

This role requires a professional who operates with Senior Manager readiness, commercially aware, technically credible, and capable of developing high-performing teams.

  • Experience should be 6 to 8 years in IT Audit. Oversee a team of 12-14 junior team members all based in Pune.
  • Lead and direct multiple IT External Audit engagements across France-based clients.
  • Own engagement planning, including scope definition, risk assessment, timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Monitor budget versus actuals and proactively address financial variances.
  • Challenge and refine risk assessments to ensure key IT, cybersecurity, and data risks are appropriately addressed.
  • Oversee testing of ITGCs, ITACs, IPE, system interfaces, and automated controls across complex IT landscapes.
  • Evaluate control environments against SOX, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, GDPR and relevant regulatory expectations.
  • Review workpapers with a risk-focused lens, ensuring technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with firm methodology (MAM).
  • Act as primary point of contact for client IT leadership, finance teams, and audit stakeholders.
  • Lead formal planning meetings, status updates, and closing meetings with senior client management.
  • Escalate significant risks, control failures, or scope deviations to Senior Managers and Partners in a timely and structured manner.
  • Ensure reporting is clear, balanced, commercially aware, and defensible.
  • Drive consistency and quality across engagements, strengthening documentation standards and review discipline.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Assistant Managers and junior team members through structured feedback and regular 1:1 discussion.
  • Identify high-potential individuals and actively support succession planning within the practice.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable, and psychologically safe team environment.
  • Manage team capacity effectively, ensuring delivery continuity during resource transitions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging risks including cloud transformation, AI adoption, cybersecurity threats, and data governance developments.
  • Promote innovation through the use of data analytics and automation within IT audit testing.
  • Contribute to methodology enhancements, training initiatives, and firm-wide quality improvement programmes.
  • Support recruitment, talent pipeline development, and cross-service collaboration within Technology & Digital.
